Dasavathaaram (Tamil: தசாவதாரம்;English: The Ten Avatars) is a 2008 Tamil science fiction disaster film co-written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. Kamal Haasan, who wrote the screenplay and story of the film, stars in ten distinct roles, including the lead character. Asin Thottumkal appears in a dual role and Mallika Sherawat plays a subsidiary role in the film. The film, which had been under production for nearly three years, was produced and primarily distributed by Venu Ravichandran, who made the film with a budget of Indian Rupee symbol.svg60 crores.[2] The soundtrack to the film was composed by Himesh Reshammiya. Cinematography and editing were conducted by Ravi Varman and Ashmith Kunder respectively, while Michael Westmore was the chief make-up artist for the film.
